Serene backyard featuring a stone path that winds toward a vibrant flower bed, inviting tranquility Working with a small space doesn’t have to make a job difficult. Maximizing a small space with
simple tricks make such a difference. You can create an elongated optical illusion with the placement
of a narrow walkway between two flower beds, as we did here (see below photo). The long narrow
walkway makes the space appear infinitely larger. The precise placement of chop block throughout the
grass, when creating the steps, tricks the mind into thinking the yard goes on forever. By spacing out the
steps you create the illusion of space. We enhanced the yard by placing multiple spaced out flower beds
and used taller plants instead of wider plans to fill the space without creating crowding. Perception can
do wonders for a smaller space if you just know how to apply the correct tools.
